In Thailand, cash is used to larger extent than in Denmark. If you bring money worth more than USD 20 000, these must be declared in border control. It is possible to pay with card at many hotels, restaurants and shops and there are ATMs in the cities. Make your currency exchange before you travel so that you have cash for taxi, food and other expenses when you arrive. No need to look for ATMs the first thing you do after a long flight.
